Grand Villa with pool, BBQ & stunning view | REMS

A good property, could be great, terrible management Positive: Very spacious villa with a great pool/ outside space, lots of room for big groups, short walk down into resort, nicely kitted out Negative: The main complaint we had was the complete absence of an external sliding door to the ground floor patio to the sitting room area which meant the ground floor was completely open to the elements! We had heavy rain and wind storms which the open mesh grill did nothing to stop. Apart from the weather issue, a number of our party were extremely concerned with the security issues and slept nervously/ refused to leave any valuables etc in the house. We reported it immediately to REMS and was assured they would look into it, but nobody came to resolve the issue. Had we known of this issue we simply would not have booked. The property is on an incredibly steep hill in all directions - it is not at all suitable for people with mobility issues and this should have been made clear in the listing. We would not have booked if we had known this as we were there for an 80th birthday with people with mobility issues. As a consequence we had to get Ubers everywhere, even the 1 mile into the resort. Other minor issues - there are no keys and every door to enter/ exit the property (including the garden gates) has to be controlled by Phone App - 80 year old parents struggled with this. Very limited equipment in kitchens. Ground floor bedroom door did not shut (by about 2 foot) so no privacy. REMS offered a small amount of compensation but with unacceptable conditions attached. A very poor experience and would not use REMS again. Booking.com were also not particularly helpful.
