Grand Villa with pool, BBQ & stunning view | REMS

A decent villa, could be great but let down by a few easily fixable issues Positive: Very spacious villa with a great pool area (which the owners were kind enough to keep open for us beyond the closing date) and outside space, lots of room for big groups, short walk down into resort, modern, nicely furnished Negative: The external sliding door to the ground floor sitting area was missing - we had heavy rain and wind which the open mesh grill did nothing to stop. A number of our party were extremely concerned with the security issues due to the missing door and refused to leave any valuables etc in the house. We reported it immediately and was assured they would look into it, but nobody came to resolve the issue. Other points to note is that the property is on an incredibly steep hill so it is not at all suitable for people with mobility issues which is not mentioned in the listing (as others do). We were there for an 80th birthday with people with mobility issues and would not have booked had we known this. As a consequence we had to get Ubers everywhere, even the 1/2 mile into the resort. Ground floor bedroom door did not shut (by about two feet) so the room had no privacy/ was noisy. There are no physical keys and every door to enter/ exit the property (including the garden gates) has to be controlled by Phone App. Not an issue for most, but again, 80 year old parents struggled with this and it meant someone had to be with them at all times. Very limited equipment in the kitchen. We were offered a small amount of compensation because of the door issue but with conditions attached which we were not happy with. We would not book with the company again
